The BetterBox G.703 Balun allows 75Ω coax terminated equipment to be attached to services using 120 Ω Twisted Pair. This balun specifically addresses the requirement that European PTTs offer 120 Ω twisted pair terminations to their customers. Some PTTs have standardised on 75 Ω coax, or have customers whose CPE has only 75 Ω coax connections. As a passive device this balun offers a ready solution to this termination mismatch. Our balun supports E1, E2 and E3 data rates of up to 34 Mbps.
